This tour is designed to introduce you to the gay scene in Quito and allow visitors to learn more
about the realities of LGBT people in this city and connect with them.

Quito doesn't have as many LGBT venues as other cities in the Americas,
but the few it does have are fun and interesting.

Clubs here are known as discotheques, where people go to dance and have drinks.
They are popular on weekends, Fridays and Saturdays, and are open from 10:00 PM until 2:00 AM
the following day, the time when nightlife venues are legally allowed to operate in Quito.
These places admit people of legal age.

It is required to bring your ID card or passport to enter.
Here you can find all kinds of LGBT people of different ages and have a great time.
Some play all kinds of music to keep people entertained while inside.

Bars are places where people go more to have a drink and chat. Some of them feature drag shows.
They are open from 5:00 PM until midnight and are most popular from Wednesday to Saturday.
They are also open to LGBT people.
The people who frequent the bars are young, with an average age of 25.The type of music played is more suited to this generation.

For gay men, there are specific places like saunas and video clubs.
These are open every day from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Gay video clubs are more popular after 5:00 PM, when most people finish work or university studies, and are most popular until 7:00 PM, when people head home.
On weekends, they stay open longer, and some remain open until 10:00 PM,
depending on the number of customers.
For foreigners, gay videos are extremely interesting because they operate clandestinely
in houses or apartments where attendees go to chat and make friends,
and if there's attraction, something more might happen.

Gay saunas are open every day, and men of various ages frequent them,
mostly between 5:00 PMand 7:00 PM. There are also days when the saunas are nudist.
